Bandung

Bandung is the capital of West Java province. The city was in ancient times was known as Parijs van Java (Dutch language) or "Paris of Java".Paris Van Java’ which means Paris of Java is the nickname given to Bandung city during the Dutch colonial time. According to the Dutch people at that time, Bandung city is quite similar to Paris, the capital city of France. 

Architecture of Bangdung is extensively influenced by Dutch architecture. Most of civic offices and buildings are dominated by Modernist architecture. Even now the architects who design the buildings in Bangdung now are mostly educated from The Netherlands!
 Bandung famous for foods,holiday spots, and factory outlet.
Even now Bandung is the most fashionable city in Indonesia. This attract tourists to visit Bandung. 

Gedung Sate is the popular name for the governor's office of West Java province. It is one of the landmark buildings of Bandung and has become an icon for the city. It was designed by Dutch architect J.Gerber. Work on the building was began in 1920 and it was completed in 1922. This massive structure is still an imposing sight today.
